Beautiful Poinsettias

I love poinsettias. They are so beautiful. Every year I like to have one at my home. Some years I have even gotten them to last till spring!

Every year at my work, they always do such a good job of decorating the whole building with beautiful poinsettias. And they are the big, healthy expensive ones that I can't afford. There must be over a hundred of them, maybe even 200. At least they decorate the areas that clients and viewers see. And they decorate the offices of the big wigs. But they never decorate the shop where I work. I've complained to my supervisor before about the lack of poinsettias in our area. But it does me no good. My area is always cold and messy, and full of tools and equipment. Basically it is an ugly and dismal area. We try to keep it cleaned up, but there is only so much we can do. But this year I "borrowed" one of the poinsettias that would have been put into the newsroom. I figure if anyone complains too much, I will give it back. But meanwhile it is brightening my area. So if you notice one less poinsettia when you are watching the news, don't say anything about who has it on her tool box. We'll see how long it lasts here. My boss might make me put it back. But I will only put it back if he comes to me and makes me.

The picture I posted I just found on the web. I don't have a camera here at work today so I can't show you "my" poinsettia now. Maybe later, if it stays longer than this weekend.

  4. I had a dream last night that when I got to work someone had cut up all the big pretty poinsettias so they were just stems and put a tiny dying one on my desk. I was pretty mad in my dream. Silly Huh.

  5. You poor girl! You're so nice that it's the guilt feeling coming through into you're dreams! If I were well off I'd send you a whole office full of poinsettias.
